How AI helped me get over my fear of coding.
I have been a web developer for years and a few years ago decided that coding wasn’t for me any longer. I had developed a fear of coding which stopped me from realising my potential. It developed from niggles at work, and then I took on my most ambitious project yet — an incredible concept that has massive potential and would change my life.
Just as I started on that journey someone created a web platform, released it to the public and it was shut down within days due to security concerns. I had personal concerns that aspects of my vision would suffer a similar fate.
About a year ago I read an awesome article about someone who had used Pomodoro to become more efficient at coding and got to the point where their career took off because their skill level improved. It was inspirational and I have used Pomodoro as an amazing time management technique, particularly when I have too many tasks demanding my attention.
The more I try to escape being a web developer, the more web jobs come my way. I never advertise and the fact that my ex-boss has asked me to do more work for him is an indicator that I must be doing something right.
